Leadership Practices Inventory® 360
Unlock leadership potential with powerful 360° feedback.
The Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI®) 360 is an observer-based assessment that measures The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®, the acclaimed leadership development model created by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner.
This assessment empowers leaders with real-world feedback to evaluate their leadership competencies. The resulting personalized report serves as a powerful tool for leaders as they embark on their journey toward extraordinary leadership.
LPI® 360 Report
- The LPI® 360 assessment empowers leaders with real-world feedback to evaluate their leadership competencies in all Five Practices.
- The LPI® 360 Feedback includes the Leader completing a self-assessment. Raters are asked to complete an online assessment. Both take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
- Raters are categorized into the following groups: Co-Workers, Manager, and Direct Reports, and Others. Any combination of groups may be used, and leaders can have an unlimited number of raters. We recommend approximately 20 raters, when possible.

LPI® 360 Coaching
A 360-feedback program is most effective when results are delivered directly to the leader by an experienced coach who can guide the leader in using the feedback to achieve meaningful professional development. Simply providing a final report to the leader to review rarely results in any real improvement.
- The Coach’s role is to help the leader make sense of the data, interpret the feedback, and frame it constructively.
- Assist the leader in identifying development areas and creating a Personal Development Plan.
- Each leader will receive 3 coaching sessions:
- Initial session with The Learning Edge’s Coach
- Session to review Personal Development Plan
- 30-60 minute follow up session to measure progress and promote accountability.
The Leadership Challenge® Workbook
The LPI® 360 investment includes a copy of The Leadership Challenge® Participant Workbook for each leader. The Leadership Challenge Workbook offers practical tools for applying The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® in real-life business situations. This workbook provides essential hands-on guidance for planning, implementation, people management, and more.

Optional: Leadership is a skill that demands ongoing practice. To gauge a leader’s growth, we recommend conducting a second LPI 360 assessment within 18 months of the initial one. Our re-assessment report showcases measurable improvements and tracks the progress leaders are making on their development journey.
By comparing self-perceptions with external viewpoints, the LPI 360 offers a holistic perspective on leadership strengths and areas for growth.
