Everything DiSC 363 for Leaders

The 363 for Leaders process gives insights to leaders about their strengths and requested areas for further focus and development. Most organizations choose to administer through a process that includes a debrief of results with an experienced consultant from The Learning Edge. The leaders then complete an Individual Development Plan to share with his or her direct supervisor. This is then used for ongoing coaching and continued growth. 

Many leaders feel the process is a great form of recognition and are pleased with the positive feedback. Others use the input and awareness as a catalyst to change their workplace behaviour to be more effective in their role as a leader. 

As an organization, the 363 for Leaders process can guide training decisions as we can generate themes from a group of 363 assessments completed. When the specific development needs are identified, leaders are engaged in finding solutions to enhance their skills. They are committed to the training opportunities that will encourage their growth and development.

363 for Leaders Model

Everything DiSC 363 for Leaders is meant for anyone who wants to use 360° feedback as part of their leadership development, whether they are a supervisor, an emerging high-potential leader or an experienced executive. It is a confidential report reviewed by the manager & The Learning Edge's coach. While the 363 report is for the leader's eyes only, The Learning Edge employs a Individual Development Plan. In this plan the leader notes his or her strengths and three areas for development. This allows the direct supervisor to coach using this tool.

The Eight Approaches to Leadership

The approaches around the circle represent eight leadership (competencies). Three leadership practices are assigned to each approach for a total of 24 practices.

The Coaching Process

CoachingA 360-feedback program is most effective when results are delivered directly to the leader by an experienced coach who can guide the leader in using the feedback to achieve meaningful professional development. Simply handing a final report to the leader to review alone rarely results in any real improvement. 

The Learning Edge facilitates 2 coaching sessions in the 363 for Leaders process. An initial 1.5-hour in person or via telephone  session to deliver feedback results, and a follow up 30 minute telephone call to  discuss progress with their development plan.

Leader and Raters

Leaders are given a two-part online profile assessment: The Everything DiSC assessment and the Leadership Behavior section about how they tend to lead.

Raters are given a two-part online assessment: the same Leadership Behavior section that the leader takes and the Leadership Requests section that asks which leadership practices they’d like to see the leader do more of.

Raters are broken into four groups: Direct Reports, Peers, Manager, and Other. Any combination of groups may be used and leaders can have an unlimited number of raters.
